aftermarket bov too stock smic??

aftermarket bov too stock smic??
i know that my stock side mount intercooler has a bov.
but is there a way to upgrade to an aftermarket bov.
do i just take the old one off and just put a aftermarket in its place or does it have to be on a intercooler pipe and the orginal location capped off?

cap the old BOV, and put one either on the cold side or Hot side.
Since this is a SMIC, put one on the hot side.
Get a pipe, weld a flange onto it and put the BOV there..
