The age old question...

... of what to do with my engine!? I'm planning on purchasing a 1995 240SX this summer and really want to pump up the performance aspect of the car. Turbo is obviously the route to take, but there are a lot of options out there. I want some opinions on the following ideas of mine:

1 - SR20DET swap (any version). Do the swap, put in a nice FMIC and build from there.

2 - CA18DET swap (any version). Do the swap, put on a ballbearing turbo, FMIC, injector upgrade and let her fly.

3 - KA24DET #1. Get NSport's Stage 1 turbo kit and build from there.

4 - KA24DET #2. Grab an HKS ballbearing turbo, big FMIC and make my own turbo system.

So... what's the best course of action? I'm 17 and have about $19,000 CDN to play with as of right now. The car will probably cost me around $12,000 CDN + taxes and all the rest, so I have a couple grand to play with after I get the car. I'm not concerned with looks right away, because it will already be one of the nicest cars in my school stock .

I know I'll probably need to save a bit more cash, but what do u guys think is the best option? I want to end up with 350hp @ the wheels (give or take), not right away but eventually. Thanks 4 any help u can offer!

if the ka24de has low miles and is still in good condition then i say turbo it! if not then i would suggest the sr20det.. but thats my opinion... some people like the ca motors over the sr because its more of a rev happy motor.... its all up 2 up... thats my .02 =]

myself am going to get:
sr20det(s14 if things goes as planned)
FMIC
fuel pump
ecu
full exhuast system
bov
clutch
flywheel
short shifter
lsd
little misc items(guages, and so on...)
suspension(se f&r strut springs/shocks)
z32 breaks
that should hold me down for awhile.. i am in the process of doing my front and rear end conversion... 5 lug conversion w/rims
my motor should be in, in about 2-3 months....

i am also 17 and i own a black 95 240sx base 5speed....

i think anybody sane with a little dough would so the Sr conversion. make the 240 into what it is posed to be. seein that you'll have an s15 then go with the sr20.

I've come up with an even better plan MUAHAHAHAAHAHAH!

I can get an RB20DET from Australia for $2500 CDN shipped.
