Avg. Dyno Tuning Time

Hey I was wondering how long it has taken people to dyno tune their safc for a turbo and bigger injectors on average. Trying to figure how much money I'm going to have to lay out.

Depends on how long it takes them to figure out a base reading, and tune from there.

Trust me, people have spent in the thousand range trying to tune their car perfectly--although these people also can't afford to NOT tune the car; if you get my drift.

I'd say it definitely depends on that base reading first.

I suggest getting a local shop or friend to tune it if you can... just someone *that knows what they are doing* tune while you are driving... if not, then find a reputable shop to help you tune. Usually runs around $100 an hour

My local shop told me it would not take longer then 2 hours........and it's $175.00 an hour.......so for my to get my car dyno tuned....i'm looking at around $350.00.....maybe $400.00...

Sounds like it would be cheaper to sell the apex and get a custom rom tune.

That's what its starting to look like.......but i think ill keep the apexi and just go and buy a JWT ECU, and use the SAFC to fine tune.

lol.....

There ECU's.....from what i have read.....are better then JWT.....and you get 0 downtime.....JWT's ECU will run you rich and it takes 4 to 6 weeks to get your ECU back from them.........

I would like to get Enthalpy ECU, but the last time i looked at there website......there KA-T ECU Section was still under construction......

Kaion.......do you remember his website.......I seem to have misplaced it.

http://www.rs-enthalpy.com/

Contacted him about a rom tune awhile ago and he said wait till I upgraded the turbo otherwise it would be a waste of money. Nice guy knows his sheet.
