I am getting the HKS Super Sequential Blow Off Valve (HKS SSQV)
It is a higher pitch pull type valve and is said to be really strong and not break from boost pressure. There are some sound clips and video clips of the HKS SSQV as well as the Turbo XS at www.blowoffvalves.com Again the HKS is very loud.

Yep, and that "Real ****ing loud" part is really how Turbo XS got the name for the BOV like ride pointed out.

out of all those sound clips i really like the Greddy type S i like the long psssss sound, the others are just a loud bang.
but now i read that the greddy type S is only good up to 18psi
well that's no good.

WoW! That was amazing how the HKS Sequential Blow-off Valve sound. I rate that #1 with the best sound. And if you guys haven't heard it yet then just click the link that was provided and check it out. By the way, thanks for the link.

the greddy type R was rated best blow off valve and the greddy type S was rated 2nd, then blitz, Turbo XS rfl, then the HKS SSQV. They tested all of these in an earlier issue of Sport Compact Car.

lol i would love to see you try and open up a type r on stock sr set up... what idiots

dont you guys like the TIAL BOV???? you are all missing out...!!!!!

and for your question on the mounting of the bov... basically if yournot going to be dealing with some higher hp numbers it honestly doesnt matter where you put it...

all though if you can... put closer to throttle body if you can...

out of all the bovs ive heard the RFL is the LOUDEST. this thing seriously hurt my ears when releasing air. the type s sounds like a wet ***** fart and i dont like that. i have the hks racing bov on my lude and the sound is so sweet. just a nice whoooosh of air coming out. its kinda quiet cause im not pushing alot of air cause im only running a t3. but when you turn the boost up you can really hear it. when i do get my s14 im gonna choose the hks ss. how many of you guys are running open atmosphere without any problems?
