BOV Questions??????
This might be a little lengthy. Im ordering the Stage 2 Turbo Kit from Boostdesigns, and it comes with a recirvulating BOV. Now I want to put on the HKS SSQV on it besides the one that came with it. Now I need to know a few things:
1. Is it possible to use it?
2. Where would it be located?
3. Is the HKS recirculating? Do I need a recirculating BOV?
4. Whats the difference between recirculating and not?
5. What is the best BOV you think I should use?
I talked to Boostdesigns and he said that I may have a problem with stalling unless I have a stand alone unit? Im just using the Greddy Emanage for now. Basically I just want to put the HKS SSQV BOV on it besides that recirculating one but I believe he is saying that im going to need one or else ill have problems. Im confused. I dont want any problems..........

i have a hks ssq bov...i love it.
the ssq can be recirculated.
do u need it to be? no.
is it good to have it recirculate yes. your not used " boost" is put right back into the intake and is made ready for you to use again. a non recirculating bov vents to the atmosphere with the typical woosh sound.
i have never had a prob with my car stalling with the ssq bov.
the best bov. it doesnt really matter which one. but i like the hks one because it sounds cool and its changable with sounds and functions ie: recirculating it.
location will all depend on you kit. mine is located on the hot pipe next to the intake. go to my cardomain site and have a look.

to change it to recirculating you have to buy the pieces for it. i would suggest going to www.enjukuracing.com for that.
the reason i said it depends on the kit is because were ever they decide to weld your bov flange(yous said on the ic piping) thats where you will be putting your new BOV.
heres a few shots of my set up... the first pic is were i have my BOV. its on the hot pipe side of the intercooler piping.
this pic is were the greddy type s or type r BOV would go. i had this piece welded shut so i wouldnt have boost leak.
let me know if you have anymore queswtions.
