compression ratio

my engine is in the machine shop now for a total rebuild (89.5 forged pistons, crower rods, cometic head gasket, and arp head bolts) and i told them to give me a 9:0 compression ratio. i thought that would be good for nitrous and soon to be turbo. that should be almost in the middle of s13 and the s14. i have the 91 ka24de s13. can anyone back me up on that or is that still to high? thanks

That compression ratio should be real good. I've seen guys run that same compression at 30psi and not have any problems, so you should be ok.

that sounds good w/ that ratio you should be able to run pretty high boost... but^ 30psi would mean mantaniance (wtf sp?) maybe just crank it up when racing

EDIT: why did you want to keep it at 9? just wondering...
