Forge Motorsports DV
Forge Motorsports DV
Ok, I posted this in the NICO forums last night, but nobody's responded yet, and when someone does, it'll be a "search ya n00b" type resonse
I was checking some numbers on the Mitsu 1G DSM DV and the crushed 1G and ran across the forge Fast Road DV they offer. I like the design of the valve as it allows for user servicibility and the primary spring can be swapped for stiffer springs, giving it a level of tunability i haven't seen in any other DV.
Has anyone used it or know of anyone who's used it, or does someone recommend a better DV design. The few reviews I've read have held the DV to be a very strong valve and worth the money, I just always enjoy 2nd and 3rd opinions
Thanks guys!

Forge also make an oem replacement for vw's bosche valves and they doo work very well. Checking the vw forums I have not come across anybody with a negative responce about forge's dv. My only reason for using an open atmosphere bov is because the air from the dv gets sent back into the air intake. Temps can be as high as 300 deg.
my main problem with atmospheric BOV;s is that they are already registered by the MAF and when you vent the excess air, you have gas coming into the fuel mix awaiting that air taht was registered, but now it's been vented to the atmo. granted, the air will get sucked back in, but it gets registered twice by the MAF. while running rich will not kill an engine, i enjoy having some amount of gas mileage
