I'm lookin' for a nice 240 for a project car to get about 300whp out of. I found a very reasonably priced 1989 Hatchback that I like. I definately want a hatchback but it is an auto and of course has the KA24E in it. My only real questions are, if I'm looking to go manual am I much better off buying it that way and not swapping from auto? And would I be better off holding out for one with a KA24DE or would that swap be very easy anyway? Whatever engine I use (KA24E, KA24DE, SR20DET) I know it will need to be built before turboed to get me to 300hp. I also figure I will need LSD to properly put the power to the ground. I'm just trying to figure out how to keep my hassle and costs down to a minimum. So should I go for it or hold of for something else... maybe a higher priced S13 Hicas if I can find one??
