greddy type s problem

Today I just installed my greddy type s bov on my s13 sr20. I had a muffler shop weld on a flange to a pipe that replaces the stock hot pipe. The problem I have is that the car stalls every time a rev up the engine. The idle is fine and I tried tightening the valve, but I had no luck the car just kept wanting to shut off. I was just wondering how some of you guys manage to run an open atmosphere bov. I used to same vacuum source as the stock bypass valve. Any input is appreciated.

I just might buy one and sell my greddy.
I got the greddy bov brand new last year as an mr2 kit. I bought it at a local shop near my house. The bov worked fine when I had it on my mr2.

Is that where the maf is placed like somewhere around the hot-pipe, before the throttle body but after the turbo? (sry for the noob question)

EDIT: Sry, answered my own question already. I was right. The search button is your friend

get an air flow controller i.e. apexi safc II or greddy emanage. I have an apexi safc II in my ka-t and it keeps the car from stalling with the air-decel setting. In short, it basically tricks the computer to not lean out the fuel mixture when the air is purged through the bov. That's why your car is stalling, because the computer thinks there is too much fuel per air when the bov purges, so it leans out the mixture and the engine dies because of fuel starvation.

if you dont have the $$ for an safc, than just recirculate it... buy the little fitting and run the tubing into the intake... or get a fitting put on that too

The SAFC II should help, but I believe the reason that the engine stalls is because the MAF registers the air that gets blown out through the BOV. The ecu believes that this air is still going into the engine and puts in the extra fuel for it causing it run extremely rich and stall... I could be wrong and I apologize if I am haha
