Will it pass smog? i don't know the C.A smog laws very well but i heard that turbocharging a car when it does not come with one is elligal because of the smog laws. what is the deal with this?

Thats hecka stupid idea, even if you have a rb26 you will have to have a really expensive fuel system and new internals to run this kind of turbo.

You will get an a**load of power, but Ryan is right, you will need to do a crapload of upgrades to the engine, not to mention internals

i think that big of a turbo on 4 cylinder isn't really necessary, just get a t3/t4 or something like that.. that will be plenty of power for u.

If you got the turbo, what use would it be to you? By that I mean, what are you planning to with the car? I hope your not one of those kids who fixes up their car, and is scared to race or drift, always whining in class about how fast thier car is, but wont race anyone, then they end up crashing their car around a tree because they finally realized they wasted $6000 on a car that they cant smog, and their mom gets pissed and you have no money, then I end up hitting you in the face for still continuing to talk about how great your car is even though you passenger door wont open, stupid jerk.

Off topic and a run on sentence, i hope you can find my question in there

a t88 belongs on a supra and it would still have lag with that big snail.

if you want an undriveable car below 5k and then again undrivable after 6.5k id say go for it
seems pretty unstreetable to me

yeah, what ARE you going to use that for anyway? by the time that spooled up, ****e man, you'd have forgotten you even wanted to get the boost up in the first place... unless you live in the middle of nowhere and can run 3000 mph all day without worrying about it?

here's a question for anyone who might know: because of the rev/speed limiters on the car, is it possible to get too big a turbo and have the engine cut out before it hits full boost?
just a thought.
