Question Important Question! HELP!!!

I have a CA18DET 180sx, and if I plant the accelerator flat to the floor, she'll take off, but at around 4500rpm the engine dies then fires again. Hard to understand i know, but if im racing its a full pain in the backside. It feels like eiter the air, petrol or spark just cuts out then kicks back in.

Im running 98 octane fuel, and im hopeing its a bad batch.

Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it?

Shes a sweet engine. I have beaten every six and a couple of ford v8's with it. Drifting with the CA is awesome! Anytime i want to, she does it with no fuss. That prob cause its got a garrett t28, and aftermarket ECU added with a LSD and it guarentees fun which is why i need to know if shes going to die so i can save for a SR20DET.

Thanks for all your help ppl
