ok, i searched this like, friggin everywhere and couldnt find it, or maybe i was not searching in the right places, but anyway heres my question. I have a ka24de that i want to turbo. what else is involved in turoboing the ka24de other than installing the turbo? it would really help if someone could answer. thx
This sounds like a perfect question for the turbo forum... are you sure you searched? I'm no expert but you'll also need an intercooler, intercooler piping, oil pan tap and oil lines for the turbo, turbo exaust manifold and downpipe, gauges, you'll prolly want bigger injectors and upgraded fuel pump and rail and some electronics... you've got options there some things do multiple functions... safc, boost controller, turbo timer. Hopes this gives you a better idea of what turboing entails.
Try searching using the terms "KAT" or "KA-T" on Google... as for here, you should find a lot of info in the turbo section, not N/A. Give it a shot over in that section =)

.. u will find at least 15 kits to choose from... DO NOT BUY SS AUTO CROME SH**T.. look for think flanges and after u buy i suggest thermo coating the turbo header .. if its tubular.

Now...back to your question krash51491...... For a good setup you will need:
#1 Turbo
#2 Manifold
#3 Intake
#4 Oil Feed & return Lines
#5 Wategate
#6 3inch DownPipe
#7 3inch Catback
#8 Vac Lines
#9 Boost Gauge
#10 Bigger injectors
#11 Bigger fuel Pump
#12 SAFC or Tuned ECU
You dont have to have a tuned ECU......you can just use the Apexi SAFC and a wideband O2...and maybe a dyno tune.......but other then that...you should be good to go........
