Not so much of a turbo newb question

well I am almost ready to get the turbo up and running on my KA. Have almost all the parts just trying to figure out one thing. If I were to get a water-cooled turbo, where would the inlet and outlet lines be tied in with the cooling system?? It baffles me and if someone says tap the plastic radiator in some way, deff. not going to do that. I would get just an oil-cooled but you can't get a good one like that, and it takes alot more looking on ebay.

actually its both, the earlier models, 84-85 are oil cooled, and then the 86-87 are water cooled, and after that the T3 goes down to a T25.

yup it is kinda strange it is a t3 manifold, short with the turbo flange facing the side, not up or down, but to the side.

the oil casings for the two turbos are the same, whether its watercooler of just oil cooled. you can run the watercooled turbo without water ... in fact thats what Im doing right now. just give it adequate time to cool down, as you would any turbo and you will be fine.

yeah, when I get around to it, Ill hack into the throttle body coolant lines, and string them over to the turbo. but for now, Im not going to hook it up till the summer, when it may actually need it.
