do u guys think this is a good price for this service i mean looks good but dont know of any one that has done it from them. i mean rebuilding labor + parts + shipping seems preety good deal to me, wut u guys think?

btw im going with a ka-t rather than my previous sr because im going for lotta torque, and theres no replacement for displacement.

yes bu a poor design with a ton of displacement means nothing

thats why the KA fails in he end

the CA/RB family is by far my favorite to work with.... i hate the KA.. dont mind the SR but not big fan of it

The guy said a lot of torque. he didn't say teh SR had no torque.

The KA's power band is at a higher rpm that the SR's so if that helps. Thats just about all i know about comparing/contrasting the two engines. I myself am looking into building a KA-T so good luck and id be happy to bounce ideas and results back and forth with you.

bottm line is u put something in ur sr and i put the same thing in my ka im gonna have more torque than the sr. btw this post was for opinions on that engine!! not discussing sr's

All I can say about that engine rebuild is that it seems pretty damn comprehensive. Only a couple of things. For that large price your getting a really good factory motor. You'd still have to replace the cams, valves, springs, injectors etc. Now I've never looked into having that kind of overhaul done so I'm not saying my word is law, just seems a little expensive to me. Also considering that they will provide you with a KADE engine for only 250 if you don't provide it, I would definetly just let them supply the engine if anyone plans on doing it.
