Possible bolt on factory turbo manifold for ka24e?

ca18et turbo manifold pics

Go to the tech pages and turbo replacement section; on that page are pics of the turbo manifold.

I saw one in the junkyard the other day and was thinking that the port spacing on the ca18et looks VERY close to the ka24e port spacing.

Anybody else see what I mean? This might be a cheap way to turbo a ka24e, if it does actually line up. I guess the thing for me to do is pull that manifold in the junkyard and see if it will line up with a ka-e exhaust manifold. If so, I know what I'm gonna do! :naughty:

sorry to break the news man, but this manifold wont fit. there is one that will ... the z18et, but that engine is only sold overseas. therein lies the problem.

there are manifolds out there, just not any stock ones.

The fact that I have more tools and supplies than money makes the ca18et manifold worth making port plates so that I can use it. I saw the Z18et manifolds while searching, and the reason they fit is because of the Z/KA is very close to the same. Z and KA24E were based off of the old L-series engines.
