Ive got a little problem. I have a 91 hatchback w/sr20, someone else had previously adjusted my boost controller and the other day it had somehow gotten reset. I was making some runs trying to tune it as best i could but I cant get it right. Im trying to set my low boost as close to stock as possible but all I can get is crappy response. Hi boost is set around 12psi but when it spools up I dont get nearly as much power as I did before it reset. At around 4 thousan rpms in any gear the turbo starts to pulsate and it dousnt seem like the pressure is holding like it used too. Did I screw something up or am I just not tuning the controller right? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I dont want to mess with it too much cause I might damage something, im kind of new to the world of turbos.

don't worry, take it to someone who tunes the turbo controllers regularly. Don't try to do it yourself. I really don't know how to tune them but I'm sure someone may know on this website if you wanted to save a little bit of cash.

 

check your gain, that is what keeps the pulsations on the wastegate and is used to keep your turbo from spiking, check it out, someone messed with my profecB II and i had to mess around with it for a while, like the other guy said take it somewhere that knows how to tune turbo cars...its not safe trying to do it yourself
