just wondering how hard is it to reinstall the sr20det valve cover?
do i need to rtv silicone the sparkplug gasket or the valve cover gasket only. im confused on how its done.
could anyone give me a link or instructions on how to reinstall the valve cover.

IF you took it off and the gasket is good to go then all you have to do is put the top back on and ENSURE that the gasket has seated into the vavle cover groove with out being crushed and then tighten it back down evenly distributing the force.

I take them off all the time, paint, polish etc. jsut as long as you take care while putting the cover on with the gasket being straight.

i see, so no rtv silicone is used if the gasket is good. if the gasket is not good then i use rtv silicone? or just replace the gasket?
