rough estimate

how much money would i be lookin at to turbo the KA? seems like the average for a kit is about 3500$ and for a person that knows what they're doin im guessin you can do a lot better than that....

with EVERYTHING..id say around 3k-4k. Matters and how big you wanna go. not including labor if you take it to a shop

that depends on if you're doing it yourself or paying for it. to rebuild the engine a shop would cost over 1K. parts and all, depending on what you get you're looking another 2500-4K, and normally closer to 4, which is about the same as a SR swap in the end.

how many miles are on your KA?
if its pretty low then you can probably boost without a rebuild, then save up some money to build up the bottom end later on,

if you piece together your own kit, you can do it for a lot less than 3500, nothing is really rocket science, im a newb but im learning as i go through the process of turboing my KA

I think thats for the swap itself, labor etc. Not for a clip too HyJynx.

$1200 seems like a normal price to me.

Thats very true. But usually cheaper prices entail shoddyer(sp) work-manship.
