I drive by myself all the time and when I am carting around two friends (300+ pounds), I can definately feel a difference in my cars performance. Ill admit it is barely noticable with just one person, but anymore than that, and I definately feel it.

I can tell the difference with another person in my S14, gives off this feeling like ur car aint ur car when u try to hit corners and all the fun stuff... especially breaking, feels like u have to break earlier than u normally do.

Luckily only 2 ppl can sit in my car (ya know who the 2nd seat is for hehe)

In this case, I would like the RB, but I cant afford the price of parts and installation. And personally, I dont have that many sources to buy parts for an RB here in Sacarmento if in any situation where if I mess up the block... there is one place in Sac, but from what I hear, they sell damaged blocks from burned cars, front end collision, etc etc...

Plus Im getting a free SR from my cuz I jus have to get some parts (ECU, elec boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, turbo timer and prolly a new clutch) I'll take pics for u guys when Im done! hehe...

Ok, gotta go, hope to hear from u guys later on.
No problem, Just wanted to clear a few things up. The RB parts are pretty cheap...about the same price as the SR. McKinney Motorsports ( I believe ) is located down in Cali and they do RB's which is pretty close....many companies sell them as well. As far as the block goes, there's a 9999/10000 chance that you'll never blow it. Glad you got a SR for free though.

As far as the weight issue goes....There is always a difference depending on the weight when you are driving...normal daily driving is usually not felt to be any different. The average passenger is about 150 pounds which won't affect the way your car handles. Braking can be affected, but cornering never should be. The best drifts are with a passenger....the most fun (imo) way to feel a drift is to be the passenger. Anyhow, glad you can all feel the difference (talked with pro drivers who don't hardly notice any and say that the difference is mainly in the mind of the driver and not in the physical attributes of the car), but the 150 pounds offsets your weight distribution by about 1% with the positioning of the passenger and actually eqauls out lateral weight so that each side is more equal.

So which Skyline drive shaft fits my S14 chassis?

And how much would it cost me to get the full long block, full wire harness, ECU, drive shaft and mounting brakets? ( basically everything I need to do a full swap like urs)

If it doesnt cost that much more, I'll think about the RB... would like to burn some mustangs out here...

You get a custom driveshaft for about $400. The clips are $3250 and come with everything you need to do the swap.

Night,
what are the differences between the RB25 and RB26, besides the obvious (twin turbos, awd tranny, 100cc)?
what about the differences between the RB20 and RB25?

20 has a smaller bore, lesser stroke, and does not upgrade as easily as the 25...The 20 also has less stock torque than the SR20. The RB25 can also go a lot higher on stock internals hp wise.

The 26 has forged internals...same bore as the 25, higher stroke, lower compression by .5 points. The 26 has a beefier crank as well...and a better style intake manifold, however, I find the 25 (hydraulic) head to be better than the 26, but springs and valves on the 26 are stronger.
