Sr20det turbo upgrade

I just got a 95 240sx with a sr20det motor already in it. Im looking to produce 400-500+hp. What do you guys suggest i do?

Or should i swap it out for a RB25det ?

RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!!! Stick with the SR20. It will be a waist of cash by going to a rb but are you sure you want to go with that much horsepower? Your car will be all top end and may loose reliability if you chose the wrong kit.
But buy things seperate like: walbro fuel pump, bigger injectors and fuel rail, a front mount intercooler, a greddy intake manifold, a QUALITY exhaust manifold (avoid ebay as much as possible on this item), a slightly larger turbo (like a disco potatoe from www.JimWolftechnologies.com , just make sure you are not buying a used turbo from ebay!!!), larger diameter downpipe, either upgrade your cat or get a 3 incher, and a larger diameter exhaust.
This will set you back a bit but will ensure you a kick *** sr20 with all bolt on's. If you want to go more hardcore you may want to invest in stronger rods, lower compression forged pistons, and a set of cams and cam gears.
Hope this helps
