Can a stock ka engine handle a turbo addition? like besides the parts needed to install and make it work will the engine hold? had a friend **** up his eclipse engine when he hooked up a turbo to his ... i dont wanna hafta do trial and error to figure(research) this out ... thanks

Yes, pleassssse search! It can hold a good 7psi-8psi on the stock headgasket.

i was also thinking about this woby, i think im about to give up and just pay for 8.5:1 compression so i can get out of the little leagues and run around 14PSI

but yo man if you find out more about this tell me i woudn't mind running 7psi for now

7psi doesn't need a intercooler either

Woby, run an intercooler. 7 psi or 20 psi that air is hot. You need to cool it off. Efficiency is what it's all about.

2. People @ my local car club run KAT no sweat on stock engines, up to 10psi. I was planning on doing so as well until I went broke and now I'm selling it all. There's no reason not to. Make a leakdown and compression test to be sure you have a good engine first! Your friend probably had a bad engine to start.

8.5:1 at 14psi is going to be a lot slower than the stock compression at 14psi. Not sure I see your point here.

If tuned, the stock KA should hold 14psi. Please dont anybody flame unless you've tried it and failed. As soon as I save up for some 550cc injectors, im going to boost my 200k+ miles KA24DE to 15psi and see what happens

now im wondering after reading all this (keep it up) how much horse power would u get running a ka engine with turbo at 8 psi with a fair intercooler?

and what would u have too do too get more horsies out of a ka engine with turbo?
