tuning

i posted this in the na forum but didnt really get much of a responce so i figured there would pry be alot more people with info on this topic in the turbo section. How do all of you tune your fuel maps. i'm looking in to an safc II but i discovered i'll also need some sort of data logger. where can i get one of these or is there a better way.

I believe the only reason you would need a data logger/wideband 02 is if you want to tune the car yourself. Or you can just take it to a shop and have them dyno tune it. Other than than adding more bolt ons would you have to retune it. Its really not that hard to tune the safc without a wideband. You really cant miss up. You just need to get a base to set all your settings at from someone running the same setup as you. Then adjust the air fuel mixtures to accomidate your car. For the price you are going to pay for a SAFC II and a data logger/wideband 02 you could spend a few hundred more and buy the Apexi Power FC.

first of all in montana where i live theres no dyno and if there was i dont know if i would trust any shops around hear to tune my car. i went into a local shop and asked about an safc and data logger, but instead of geting helpful reply i just got a dumb founded jackass who said "well if you find where to get one i'm sure we could order it in for you."
