Turbo automatic trans s13
Turbo automatic trans s13
i have a 93' 240sx , automatic transmission. by the time i'm ready to go turbo, i should have.... underdrive pulley, turbo headers/exhaust, possibly forged pistons, etc.
what are the pros and cons of running boost on an automatic transmission? and what other parts (if any) do i need to hold the compression? thanks.
oh yea and also, i meant to ask if anyone knows of a "shift kit" (like those used on automatic gm motors) that will work on my car.
much appreciated.

turboed autos and great for top speed applications and for really fast 1/4 mile times but aren't always the most practical especially if you're looking to have fun with the car. i second that notion to swap to a manny.
okay, thanks guys. i'm not sure yet though if thats what i want to do, this is gonna be my daily driver as well. i just wanna bring it up to like 275-300 at the wheels. most likely i'll end up gettin a torque converter that wont be overpowered. thankyou for your help though, much appreciated.
well the one big benifit of a auto turbo car is you never lose boost.
the engine only revs down so many rpms and you will maintain boost the whole time. my freind has a ecplipse sypder that he turbod and its auto...fast!
