Turbo options for the KA

I was wondering the different kinds of turbo manifolds available for the ka24de and if they are SS or cast iron and which one is better... as far as long lasting and cracking goes .... and which ones are capable of holding more boost... and in your opinion which one is the best and also of the manifolds you list you might wanna list what kind of turbo will fit on it.

Then what are good turbos for the manifolds... how much psi they use... how much hp they can hold... how fast they boost up....

And to sum it up i wanna see what people would use to have a fast spooling turbo on a ka that will as well have good hp figures

the setup has to be one that can be daily driven.... you know thats how we all want it

Throw Greddy on the list... I'm sure you can buy the manifold from their KA24DE kit seperately...

ok comon... guys... we need some info on the manifolds... the jgs manifolds i heard come with 2 parts... in which you have to do cutting and welding... could a muffler shop do this... and if they do how much do they tend to charge to cut and weld... assuming they will do a good job how much is the cost to cut and weld... i m sure a lot of you get it done for free because ur friend owns a shop or watever but i just wanna get ur opinion

I wouldn't go with having some shop with a welding torch weld up a do-it-yourself turbo manifold LOL those things carry high pressure and hot gasses, and one weak point in the weld could mess things up.

What's wrong with buying a manifold that's bolt on in the first place? Is this another "do it on the cheap" thing?

AAI makes a KA24DE turbo kit.

If you wanna get 200 to the wheels NA, you're gonna need to up the compression, and well, turbos dont like that.

yeah after i posted i thought about it and remembred reading something about lowering compression for a turbo swap on some car....what do you think is the most we can get to our wheels without changing the compression?

I am the exclusive distributor for a company called AAI, and they make a turbo kit for the KA24DE. I will check the prices and get some pics up of that kit.
