what are the two male ends on the turbo there is a male nipple on the wastegate and one on the housing what are they used for

 

On my car, the nipple on the wastegate is for a vaccuum hose. I'm not sure what the fitting is on the turbo. I don't ever remember there being anything there the last time I pulled my turbo off, but if I were to guess, I would say it is for an oil line.
