White Smoke..
Ok so i gots an sr and goodies and what not and the other day i was putting in a test pipe in place of my cat. Well stuff wasnt workin right as usual so i had to leave it off for a day. Well i ran open down pipe for a day and as i was driving i noticed white smoke coming out (never happened before). I figured jus cuz i had not muffler and whatnot on. Well i put the test pipe and exhaust back on and everytime im done accelerating or come to a stop if shoots out white smoke for a few seconds. Well it not oil cuz its white right? and i know its not the headgasket cuz i just put a metal one in...so do u think i fried the turbo manifold gasket or turbo outlet gasket? I got a new manifold and outlet on the way but not til xmas and im wonderin if i should b driving it or what? Anyone have nething like this or have any ideas? Thanks in advance, Brian.

for like maybe 5 seconds..well it never did it till i took the exhaust off, so that wouldnt just throw it off would it? and it doesnt have any problem starting so i dont think it would be the plugs either. and while im driving the air/fuel is reading out the same it always has..

i still think it has something to do with sucking in oil, and the cat was catching ost of it before

yea i got it back on now but with a test pipe instead...well i guess that could be but everytime i change my oil its never low or nething, its barely down at all. Im gettin an exhaust maifold for xmas so when i have the turbo off would i be able to see oil buildup or nething like that to look for?

No No No, you got it all wrong
1)White= Coolant (water vapor and sweet smell)
2)Blue, whiteish= Oil (blue at sight, intoxicating smell)
3) Black= Runing rich, too much gas.
4)Green=What the F*ck??? Never seen this, I've seen green flames with aditives to the fuel in flame thrower kits, but never green smoke.... maybe from those kids smokebombs
How to check:
remove coolant trough botom screw underneath the radiator. If oil is in it, flush system and re-fill with water. If more oily stuff is in, gasket problem.
Oil= Remove oil in a pan, if you can see the "rainbowl" efect, like when water runs over oil in the road, then you got water in the oil. Gasket problem.
Don't trow away the coolant, it can be recycled, just take back to autozone or pepboys. Its dangerous to enviroment. Aslo, put that cat back on, it only gives you like 1.5 HP and its sounds horribly loud. Save the planet, respect the air.
