91 MR2 Turbo with TRD LSD\ADVAN
91 MR2 Turbo with TRD LSD\ADVAN
I am basically looking to sell my mr2, and just reaching out to any local, or somewhat local guys. I would also consider a trade for an s13 or something. Here is the shpeel:
The car is a 1991 MR2 Turbo. I am the third owner of the car. The 2nd
owner was the GM of the dealership where I purchased the vehicle. The
car spent the bulk of its life in CA so there is no rust on it. This
past winter I was parked at the bottom of the driveway and the girl i
live with managed to back into the car. We had it all checked out and
there was absolutely no structural damage (trust me, i was very pissed
about this happening) THis is the same time I had the holes filled in
from the stock spoiler. I was surprised at how nice they got the car
to look.
The mods done to the car are fairly light. I put TEIN HA coilovers on
it, an intake, ARC Blow Off Valve, boost controller (set at 14psi). I
just put the 93 transmission with TRD clutch type LSD in the car with
Spec Stage 3 flywheel and Fidanza lightweight Flywheel. I also redid
the ball joints up front at the end of last summer. I made a custom
strut bar up in the front. It's not the greatest, but works really
well which surprised me. I also had Josh Boam from Chico Race Works
make me a custom 3" center exit exhaust and also gutted the stock Down
Pipe. I got a momo steering wheel and made myself a new shift ****
for the car that brought up the height a bit. The car does have a
short shifter in it. The advans that are on the car are the sa3r's
with yokohama es100's on them. 225\45\16 on the back and 205\50\16 up
in the front. I also had a 45mm Omori Boost gauge installed in the
stock location, but I guess this is where the electrical issues are
at.
I took the car to a shop to fix a problem I had when I did the tranny
swap. My brother had done business with them in the past, so I felt
comfortable going there, and since I didnt have time\the space to redo the
tranny stuff, I took it to them. They took care of the tranny stuff and I
got my car back. I didnt realize until this past monday that they
neglected to hook up main grounds going to the engine. I noticed by my
gauge cluster starting to smoke, so I unhooked my battery terminal, pulled
the car into work space and took a peak around. Here is a list of things
that ended up getting toasted:
Starter (already replaced)
battery (already replaced)
Fog lamps (bulbs blew out)
Power windows
Turbo Timer
E-Brake cables (still work, but a little on the rough side)
Throttle cable (works fine, but a little bit stiffer than before)
Radiator Fan Control unit
Power steering GOING TO TRY AND GET WORKING
Guage cluster is toasted (was going to pick up a used one from Chico Race
works)
I believe that is about it as far as that goes. I don't have the
time\patience to go through all the electrical to figure it all out
exactly where are the issues lie. The body has no major damages. There
is a small spot on the rear bumper where the paint is peeling up a little
bit from the new paint\bumper when I got hit. I havent had time to take
it back to the body shop to have them correct this. There is a small spot
where my car got nicked while parked in chicago, small ding. The rims
also have a little bit of dings and arent the most perfect looking, but
are still way hot nonetheless. I also have the stock rims with tires that
I put on no more than 2 or 3 months ago. Also, the front splash guards were removed for lowering purposes. I still have them and the hardware to install them. I also have the FRUNK plastic and a few other pieces I believe for the car in the garage, I'll double check tonight and see what is all there.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at andrewgore @ offthebreak.com or sk8rpunk0000 @ yahoo.com
I am looking to get 6500 for this as is.
it runs like a champ....I feel it is fair.
I have the VIN # if you'd like to check that out. If I forgot anything, let me know and I'll get the information for you.

The things that need fixing are not affecting how the car runs\performs\handles. I have continued to try and figure out where the final electrical problem lies, and I believe I have found the problem.
and while the shifter may look...different. lol, its much nicer with it being up as high as it is for quick wheel to shifter movement.
