I have had to go to training for my work that went from 12am - 8am for the last week and haven't had any time till today to work on my car. The engine still needs to go in hopefully it will be done by Saturday.

formula D is at soldier field this year. from my understanding it starts at noon.

ill find out what road to turn on so we are all on the same side of the stadium.

4 All Drivers are required to be fully suited at meetings. Meetings will all be held in the Formula D Hospitality Tent unless otherwise noted.

5 Open Practice means that drivers are allowed as many runs as possible during the given window of time. After each run, drivers will move to the back of the line. If a driver breaks or needs to perform maintenance their race vehicle, they will lose their place in line until they are ready to practice.

Practice will NOT be extended for any drivers who have not had sufficient practice because their vehicle could not run.
Practice will NOT be extended due to crashes, breaks on track, oil spills, etc.

Sponsor and Vendor Setup

Large displays and rigs/tractor/trailers must arrive for setup on Friday, August 5 th at 10:00am to 12:00pm. Large vendors who are unable to arrive in this timeframe may forfeit their placement and may not receive optimal placement due to time, space, and parking limitations.
General setup/check-in times are from 12:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, August 5 th.
NO vendors may enter later than 8:00pm on Friday.
Follow signs to vendor check-in at the South Lot Gate of Soldier Field.
Pick up your company credentials from Will Call and locate your booth space before entering the Formula D Paddock Area.
On the main event day, Saturday, August 6 th, the gates open to public at Noon. All Sponsor/Vendor displays must be complete by 10:00am. All support vehicles must clear the venue at this time.
Sponsor and Vendor Teardown

Teardown will begin after competition is completed. Failure to do so will result in loss of preferred pit space and/or a fine.
NO vehicles (display cars or support vehicles) may be moving in the paddock area before the completion of the awards presentations.
There will be consequences and fines for those who wish to leave early or moved their rigs/vehicles around the paddock area during the event. Please refer to Participant Advisory #01-05.13.05.
Event is scheduled to end at 10:00pm
Formula D Car Show Roll-In

Participants must register their vehicles at www.formulad.com/registration.php.
Show Car Check-In and Roll-In at Will Call will begin on Saturday at 8:00am and will end at 10:00am.
Show car judging begins Saturday at 11:00am and will end at 3:00pm.
Teams may not set up tents, chairs, etc. in aisle ways and fire lanes. Everything a Car Show Competitor sets up must be done within their allotted space or spaces.
Car Show Competitors may only park in spaces designated to them by a Formula D official. Failure to do so may result in ejection from the competition and/or venue.
Arrive early and roll in as teams or groups of cars you want to be placed with. This must be decided on before entering the Car Show line. Car Show line will be a separate line from the Vendor line.
NO cars will be allowed to register on-site unless arrangements have been made with Fred Chang, 949-341-9181 x5, PRIOR to July 29 th .
NO cars will be allowed to enter past 10:00am on Saturday, August 6 th.
WARNING : Show competitors who mix in with the Vendor Line or make a mistake by entering the wrong line, will be sent to the back of the Car Show Line.
ADVISORY: Fire-Lanes and Aisle-Ways

All trailers and support vehicles must be parked in a parking lot outside of the paddock area. All unauthorized vehicles in the main paddock area will be towed away at the owner’s expense.
Vehicles with proper permits may enter the main paddock area but may not block any fire-lanes and aisle-ways. Vehicle with permits must only park within their designated booth space, if there is room, or they must park in the general parking lot. Vehicles with permits will also be towed at the owner’s expense if found parked in an undesignated area.
*Mandatory* Pre-Event Media Briefing

This meeting will be held on Friday, August 5 th at 2:00pm and on Saturday, August 6 th at 10:40am. All rules and regulations concerning media for the event will be addressed to prevent event delays and to protect the safety of our spectators, media, and drivers.
Meeting will be held by Fred Chang in the Formula D Hospitality Tent.
Media Credentials will only be handed out to those who are on the Media List and attend the full briefing. NO EXCEPTIONS
There will be a 10 minute grace period before the media briefing begins. Once the meeting starts, the doors will close and no one may be allowed to enter or leave the meeting.
All media will be held responsible for all issues discussed during the briefing. Rules and regulations will be enforced by the City of Chicago, SCCA, and Formula Drift. Media in violation of these rules will be subject to proper disciplinary action
