Hey guys whats up if you have a 240 in ohio, or anywhere close to ohio, list what your gunna do/did to it, where you meet, and when you meet so i can start meetin up with you guys.

besides that i have a 90 and its stock (buying an engine soon)

but i am a poor college student so everytime i get money enough to buy it i have to pay my car payment/insurance.

i am looking for alot of help to get it to run well then i am hopefully going to get the body repaired this summer (trust me it needs it and would be worth it)

i am not talking just paint, i am talking stripdown and beadblast rust repair, straightn frame (if necessary) and re-assemble, prime and paint.

 

Uhh i could help ya but i dont know too much about it, are you gunna swap in an SR, or put the KA back in?

 

i am putting a 95 DE into my 90 chassis..

the part i am having trouble with is getting the car to run reliably..

when i bought it, it didn't run and didn't stop (and all have gas problems)

so i have done more matnience mods over anything.

2 batteries,
alternator,
plugs,
fule filter,
front disc,
front caliper,
front pads,
fuses (some of them like the alt),
battery cables,
thats about it..

i know i need a new intake hose, it is riped where it has the wavy rubber right before the throttle body..

but besides that, i think now that its a starter problem.

as when i go out and start it (or try to at that fact) it wont even turn over.

if i jump it, it starts great.

battery tests at 14.2 when its on, and when its off it tests at 7.2 which indicates a good battery. also, it runs 14.2 from the alt to the battery when it is on.

uhhhh....i live in michigan....lol,oh well, thier isnt any other 240's in my town except the hatch i sold to a kid but now its all riced out:-( .i dont think anything ive said so far has anything to really do with ohio..lol..wow im bored with not having anybody to dick off with....all my freinds own civic's or integra's.

hey, its going well. i need to pay the rest of the 300 to the lady and guy, then a co-worker of mine and i are going to go get the whole conversion from them. hopefully by spring break i will be able to get it done, if not, then i will have to show up in my grand am.. lol

 

well slo90 good luck. but dont worry i know how you feel, right now thanks to all the snow im sportin an 83 blazer s-10 but atleast its a 5 speed! what are you getting for your car that you still owe money on?
