Minnesota (8/7) - The Mods and Rods Charity Car Show

Pre-Message Message: Fun Show, Free Stuff, Great Trophies

--------
We would like to invite you to the Second Annual Mods and Rods Charity Car Show! Mods and Rods will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Ellingson Car Museum in Rogers, Minnesota (where it was held last year).

With so many car shows to choose from why is the Second Annual Mods and Rods Charity Car Show worth your time? How is it different from other shows? Unlike many shows, Mods and Rods welcomes vehicles of all manufacturers and eras. Domestics and Imports, Classics, and Racing vehicles are all acknowledged equally in the more than 30 trophies that are given away in four classes. Great, but you aren’t talking about the paper weight trophy are you? We are serious about our trophies because we know what type of work goes into preparing for a show. See a picture of last year’s trophies at: http://www.modsandrods.com/pix/show03/trophies

What else do you have to offer? We are giving away over $5,000 in prizes. Some of the prizes include 10 1-year supplies of Meguiar’s new NXT Generation line (the one they can’t keep stocked in stores), a getaway to Grand Casino Mille Lacs including a jacuzzi suite, dyno pulls from local tuner shops, detailing and dent packages from car care companies in the area, and a full tint job. We will also have a DJ on staff, several food vendors, and a nice air-conditioned museum to offer if the show gets a bit too hot.

We are proud to announce five major sponsors of our show: The Land O' Lakes Region SCCA, AutoZone, Elite Autosport, Mach 1 Audio and Security, and Sun Control of Minnesota. With their support, we look forward to bringing you an even more impressive show than last year. You can see last year’s show at: http://www.modsandrods.com/pix/show03 . Mods and Rods was covered by FOX 9 News recently at our Sneak Preview Event. You can see pictures of that event at http://www.modsandrods.com/pix/marcus04 .

Pre-Registration for Mods and Rods II is open until August 1, 2004 at: http://www.modsandrods.com/content2.php?categoryid=3 . Pre-registration is $15, which gets you, your car, and a friend into the show. Day-of-show registration is $20, so we encourage you to pre-register to save yourself some money and to avoid waiting in line on the day of the show. Car clubs that register 5 or more spots together will pay a group registration fee of $10. Please check with your club president to see if you have a group registration username and password. If you do not, have him or her contact Annie at annie@speedstreet.org for details.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or you can respond to this post. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday August 7th for a show that is actually as good as the hype!
