Got bored, chopped a hole in my hood

Is it different? Yes. Was it cheap? Yes. Is it functional? ???

I used a 3.5" hole saw to place the hole slightly in front of my air filter. Got some metal grating (better looking than chicken wire) painted it black with some high temp enamel and attached it to the backside. Also used some fray check on the edges of the hole to keep the carbon fiber from unraveling. What do you guys think?

I'll have to see it in person, but looks like it's functional and looks good.
