350z track wheels

anyone know how much the 350z rays track rims weigh?

been looking around for a good race/rack rim and i hear forged is the best you can get. The cheapest forged wheels i can find is used 350z track rims. Depending on how much they weigh i might get them.

I looked around for alot of popular 240 rims and man they are all so heavy i need light weight and strong.

Basicly according to Modified Mag reducing 1lbs per rim is the equivalent to reducing 20lbs in your car. i didnt know weight mattered so much in a rim. so going from 17" sport max 962, 27lbs rim to 17lbs te-37 is like losing 800lbs in your car. now this is insane... and if you wana check my refrence look at: Modified Mag Dec 06 mag on page. 111 on the

"Why Wheels are more then just Tire Holders" article

yes, they are in the 18-22lb range iirc. and remember there are heavy tires and light tires too but why do you need all the rotational mass of 18" wheels when 15 or 16" will suffice? grab some koseis or buddy clubs and call it a day

"according to modified mag"

yea.

20 pounds sounds really exagerated.

i think its more like one pound of tire is equal to two pounds of fraame, and one pound of hub is equal to one and one half pounds of frame. ratational mass and intertia and all that good ****.

there was a thread on zilvia recently about the track wheels, try searching there.

5Zigen FN01RC

17 x 8 +25 Front
17 x 9 +15 Rear or
17 x 10 + 12 Rear (be prepared to roll fenders if you go this route. Or buy wide body and cut, weld and seam seal the quarter panels.

Cmon, I kno you wanna be like us pro drifters, cut the quarters and widebody the sucker LOL

jkjk, I'd recommend the FN01RC's any day. But Im liking the works rims right now... forgot the model number to them... but they look HOT on an S14 with a -5 camber. SOOOOOO SIIIIIIIICK LOL
