How are Mr. Gasket Wheel Spacers?

Hey. I just got some G games 77w for my 91 s13 fastback and since they are +42mm off set I would like to get some 5mm spacer all around. Would the cheap Mr.Gasket wheel Spacer do it? or should I get those H&R on ebay? Also would I need longer stud for 5mm? Any recommendations are we come. Thanks alot

are you having fitment issues that requires spacers? if you don't need them for brake/strut clearance I wouldn't bother with it. 5mm spacers aren't going to make a noticeable improvement visually. I would go with 50mm spacers if you want it to look more aggressive. better yet, you could pick up some new wheels that have lower offsets and wider widths.

well I bought those bought those rim on craigslist and already mount some tire. The rims fit perfect but just that it kinda tucked in a little bit. so the fender gap looks abit too large. What would be the ideal offset for 17x7 anyway?

well I wouldn't buy 17x7 wheels in the first place... I would get something wider that could accommodate more tire. From a looks standpoint I would like about -20 offset on that width. But a skinny wheel sticking that far out would look silly. 5mm spacers aren't going to make it look any different honestly.

i c... well right now I have 215 45 17 tires on those rims which I think is perfect for myself because I don't want to lose too much power and gas milage with wider tires and I don't really plan to do turbo at all. Maybe I will take some picture and post and see

215/45/17 would go better on a 17x7.5-8 wheel, for a 17x7 a 205/40/17 would be better imo.

Agreed with silviaks2nr...but if you're stuck on keeping those wheels...get longer studs and some big spacers. Measure the gap and buy accordingly. I honestly don't think name brand spacers make any difference vs. generic.

cuz its basically just a metal spacer. I'm not saying I'm right by any means, just stating my opinion. I haven't ever used spacers as I have just bought wheels that fit the way I wanted....wide wheels with low offsets.

if they were made of anything heavier than aluminum i'd agree that a name brand slip on spacer would be better than some cheap alternative. although slip on spacers in general are a cheap alternative and anything under 10mm is a waste of money. for wider than 10mm it's bets to just get the bolt on spacers and forget about the extended studs.
