Active system?!?!

So i was at this local circuit city and well i was going to replace my speakers since my old ones are kinda weak and one of them has a tear and rattles. I was talkiing to this guy and he mentioned something about an "ACTIVE SYSTEM". To be honest i don't know much about speakers but he mentioned that the "ACTIVE SYSTEM" is where u need to replace all your speakers including the c.d. face. Like i said before i don't know much about speakers so is this guy being honest . Or is he trying to sell me more than i need? Thanks again in advance

to take off the grill you need to take off the door panel. then on the back of the door pannel is just some plain jane screws.

the eclipse speakers are a good choice. they have rich mids and clear highs. As far as the active system, the guy at circuit city was trying to sell you more than you need. if your car does have the active speaker system, it just means the the car has external amplifiers, and nissans always have the most rediculous configurations. the way the system works is that there are 3 amps in the car. one in each door, and one for the rear speakers. the ones in the doors are built in to that plastic housing that the speaker mounts to. the one in the rear is under the rear deck in the coupe, not sure where in the hatch. the point is, the speakers caqn be replaced by them selves. and the doors do have to be removed to change the speakers.
