Alarm question

I'm pretty decided on getting a Clifford RSX 3.5. I'm hoping to install it myself, as I'm poor and have friends who can help me through the process, but my question stands even if I get it professionally installed. My car's an auto right now, but I'm dead set on doing the manual conversion (after I install this alarm). Is there gonna be any trouble with the alarm during the conversion? Any reprogramming or anything?

Also is the RSX 3.5 the same thing as the Viper 791xv? They look identical and I think I've read they're related, but I've never seen it clarafied.

There is no problem except that you will not be able to safely do remote start after the manual swap. Directed does make two-way units that do not have the start option for less than the 3.5.

Is the remote start the exact same wiring on a auto and manual? I know it's not *safe*, and I'd probably never use it, but if I put it on my car as an auto I wouldn't really feel like disabling it :/
