um personally i wouldnt recommend sand paper... since the aluminum is soft. Do you have an electric grinder? or know someone who can sandblast it? Also, is the orignal coating still there or is it cracked and chipped and ****

BTW if you use a grinder, get a wire wheel for it, then polish the aluminum up really good before painting.

Hmmm, the original coat is still on there and all, I guess I just want it painted black...I'll try my luck with a wire wheel if I can't find someone with a sand blaster.

oem wires from dash to front doors is fine to "reuse" unless you're some car audio competition freak kind of guy =P

screw the amp, this pioneer unit (which i installed today) rocks! maybe ill put the amp in... but i need to fix the body first lol

i agree with raine... unless you are going for competition then there is no need to re run the wires in the car... bigger is not always better when it comes to car audio equiptment and wiring...

no, its not competition, but i do like sq and small wires burn too easily. im taking almost the whole interior out of the car so i can paint it properly. i might as well. I would jsut feel better if i DID change them, so i know that they wont burn. anyways, i installed my new(er) pioneer head unit, and now my rear speakers dont work. There used to be an xplod unit in the car, and they worked. What is the light green wire on the smaller wiring harness?
