Anyone know how to make a kill switch?

Anyone know how to make a kill switch?

for an s13,don't know where to start,i would like it to have a hidden switch,what type of switch should i buy?should i connect it to the ignition,fuel pump,or starter? should i connect it close to the dash or in the engine bay?

probably just use a rocker switch, single pull single throw level arm switch, about making a kill switch im not sure though sorry

any of the methods you mentioned above will work... what i would suggest is that you do it from the starter... go under the hood and cut the starter wire... splice in 2 wires from there... connect one side to the wire on the starter the other side to the wire from the harness...then run the 2 wires from there to where ever you want to install the switch... i would suggest that you hide it good... under the center consol where the shifter is... or something like that... make sure that it is a heavy duty switch... not any of the cheap 15 amp ones from autozone... go to napa and get a 50 amp toggle switch... wont burn out as easy... the starter carries a lot of current and i would not trust it to a cheap switch... make sure that the wires are covered in loom or electric tape all the way...
flip the switch and try to start...

you can also get switches that use a key
and u can also wire it to the fuel pump or hell just the battery

don't do it to the battery, unless you like setting your clock each time and your radio presets. and you'll need a HEAVY DUTY switch
