DASH SETUP - Thought I'd Share ... (56K WARNING)

This was last week's project....

DAY 1
Metra Kit 99-6503

what I used...

all set into place after cutting...

Radio relocation set...

DAY 2
day 2 start off...

17"x21" ABS sheet (Metra)...

screen bought from local IFX member...

fitting new template...

cutting down bezel...

DAY 3
new bracket cut out, screen and buttons mounted...

fitting on non-mounted dash...

DAY 4
old dash taken out for swap...

gutted front...

center vent blocked off w/ duct tape...

had to cut down a bracket so radio would fit snuggly...

evrything in and FINAL PRODUCT

took about 4 days but it looks good for now. Noticing after the install, i need to cut behind the screen a bit more on the ABS to reveal more back and then add a little electric computer fan for cooling. Reason it that the colors get a little messed up when heated but hey thats what i get for paying $50 for a screen. Eventually I'll replace it with a better quality 5" screen. does me good except that i wish the EClipse AUX had a bit more volume for movies and the PS2 but I'll manage for now. Also I'm going to make the front a little bit more cleaner in the near future as well.
