I need help with radio wires
Someone did a hack job wiring up a cd player to my car. They cut the factory harness so now I have no harness and don't know what wires to wire up.
I am thinking about getting a stock harness and wiring it back up to make it easier.
They cut the wires coming out of the black loom so all I have is the end of wires. So if I take a wire harness from a stock car and wire that back up, I will be able to get an aftermarket harness and splice that to an aftermarket deck and then just plug it in.
Where can I get a harness from? Do they even come with wires attached or do I need to buy the whole wire set up?

I have no idea but i CAN tell you the power wires at least. Then that way you have power and wire up the speakers with music to listen for it. i did that on my original 240 and it sucked. Luckily this one has the harness .
This is from memory, but here goes... (if the power doesn't hold constant reverse the two)
Constant 12 volt (battery)......blue wire
Ignition......red i believe....
Ground.....a purple or brown antenna wire....you don't need to hook up the ground on some head units cause the antenna is the ground.....if not.....find a screw into metal and hook up the ground
Those shold get u up and powered...I'll check tomorrow to verify the wires and let you know exactly which ones do which.

Did you figure this out already? I can help you because my car had the same problem but I'm familiar with figuring out what wire goes where as I've done may car audio installations. On thing you can do is to check the color coded wires at the speaker. If they are still stock note the color and stripe on them and write them down for each speaker. For example, if the front right speaker has a black/white striped cable and an orange/black striped cable you know that when you look at the actual wiring in the radio compartment those wires will correspond to that speaker. I can check on mine to let you know though if you still can't figure it out. Just let me know!

I have not figured it out yet. It would be great if you could let me know what color goes with what.
I am not sure if I am going to buy a stock harness or just wire the wires to an aftermarket deck. If I buy a harness I can switch decks but if I wire them to the deck then I will have to cut them if I want to switch decks

I need the connector. What happened was the person that owned the car before me must have cut the connector off and soldered the aftermarket radio wires to the stock instead of buying an aftermarket connector.
A color list would help too.
