I just threw in a 300w Legacy Amp with homemade build speaker box with 1 12" lightening sub and another 10" Eclipse speaker with box it came with. I also used regular speaker wire from Subs to amp. regular speaker wire for remote and 2 8 gauges, 1 for battery and 1 for ground. Also the amp is only turned half way up.I am just wanting to know that I won't blow a speaker or amp is all.

All I want is some thump, no I wanna have everyone hear me thing.

legacy makes decent amps but don't expect too much for low budget sound systems. the speakers should be fine but you'll want to keep the gain at no more than 3/4 off the max setting or the thermal/overload thingy will kick in all the time.

Yeah its halfway yet the fuse thing on the amp gets loose i guess now when some part of bass kicks in and it shuts off so i keep wiggling the fuse till green light comes on again.

You're probably going to want to clean up those connections. Something you may not know is that the light might be turning off because the amp is getting overloaded. If that's the case, it'll go into protection mode. It only goes into that mode when it feels as if it's in danger. If it keeps doing it, your amp will eventually go bad. It's like taking a car past redline. No good.

General rule of thumb: It's better to have an amp that is too strong than a sub that is too strong. A stronger sub will try to draw out more power than the amp is capable of and you guessed it: Fry the amp.

With a more powerful amp, you'll at least be able to adjust the gains to adequately fit the sub.
