Also, I have the tuner 3 HU with the built in adjustable EQ. I only replaced the 4 by 6's so they can't handle that much bass. You can adjust the low, mid and high freq. So until I get subs I run mostly treble and keep the low freq. on about 1-2 while the mid is on 3 and the high on 4. I use the EQ-EX and put the SLA on +1. I totally custom did my EQ.

well, your ground does suck. get that wire attached to a lug and screw that ground down secure first.

also, are you using the built in crossover in the head unit? or are you running the rear speakers full range, and just dropping the low frequencies with the EQ?

You might want to set the crossover at a higher frequency to compensate for the 4x6 inherent lack of low end. When you get subs, you can play with the sub output crossover also (in the head unit) to let the sub fill in a few of the missing mid-low frequencies.

If I was going to go coax only I'd pick the Pioneer 1780's and call it a day. These have long been a great bassy speaker. If you are amping and the like Focal and CDT, etc can offer more performance.

As for that I have had Two in a row now and I think there the best you can buy. Today is also a good day for me because I am finnaly getting a sub back in my car after my old ones were stolen. I think a single 12' bumbs harder than two 10's so I'm getting a Audiobahn 12' today. All I have to do now is build the custom box to go where the rear seats are. I'll send some pics when I'm done.
