Question about stock system YES STOCK!
Sup guys. Yes I have the stock radio. (I'm saving all my money on go fast parts and my 73 rx-2) Well the last person that got the car installed a 10 disc cd changer and a regular antenna. the electrical one was in the trunk all busted. anywho. I'm getting static. I took out the radio and fixed the vol button that was loose. But I still get some static. I checked the antenna cable and looks fine, what do you guys think it is?

i take it the cd chnger is an fm modulated one... you set it on a station and then it palys the cd thru the radio right???if that is the case thry changing the radio station frequnecy on the cd changer... how you go about that depends on the unit you have... some you can change with the display some you have to flip a switch on the changer itself... either way give that a shot... now if you have static on the radio when you not listening to cd's then make sure the cd changer is off so there is no bleed through into the radio from the changer... if that does not work then i would suggest removing the fm modulater from where ever they have it and try placing it in some other location... when it comes to fm modulated signals there is a lot of things that can cause static... you just have to start at the bottem and work your way up... and even at times you cannot get the static to ever go totally away... the dis advantage of fm modulated signals...
