well u didnt mention whether or not u had a coupe or hatch but since you state that u have kouki tails ill guess you have a hatch
but neways, the hatch has 4X6 front and rear which are self amplified. which means that there are little amplifiers inside the doors right by the speakers and in order to connect new speakers you need to run new wires to them as well as either get a new amplified deck or purchase a regular amplifier with speaker level inputs and wire them up that way. i suggest getting a new deck

lol i missed the fact that u already have a deck so u should be aware of all that
but as far as speakers go its really hard to tell someone which brands are good since everyones opinion differs. just go listen to a couple at your local audio store and u should have no problems deciding

Not all hatches had amps. It was an option. As far as speakers go you need to make this decision do you want loud speakers with little distortion or quieter speakers with a broader frequency responce?

i was thinking of puttin in some 5.25" speakers in the car. Do you guys think it would be possible considering that the original speaker size is 4 x 6. what kind of speaker setups do you guys have? And thanks for all your help

yup its not a prob but your gonna have to make a custom front plate. im currently running 5.25's and all i did was trace the outline of the stock lil plastic enclosure onto some 0.25" thick particleboard and it worked out perfect.

Do you know if 6.5s will fit. i have these MB Quarts, magnets are way bigger than stock..plan on getting a 240 most likely. Deciding if I should sell my current setup.
