well i put my head unit from my truck in my 240 because i'm cheap and can't afford a new head unit. anyways i got a wiring adapter for it and when i wired it up everything worked except for the front speakers. i was going to rewire the fronts but if anyone has had this problem before maybe you could tell me where i went wrong. i have installed many systems before and never had this problem. thanx for all the help.

waaaaaaay too general for me to help.
Have you tried hooking the front speaker wires from the unit to the rear speakers and seeing if they work, and vice versa?Thats the best way to check if the head unit isn't working correctly. From there, try and disable the stock amp in the front doors if you have an S13, that could be messing it up. If thats not it, then I'd say some new wires need to be run.

do you have the active speaker system? if so thats the problem the front speakers have built in amps and they have to be bypassed. you will have to take the door panels off take the speakers off and re-wire the speakers using the (-) and (+) wires before the amps. drivers side is blue and white(+) and blue and yellow(-)
passenger side is Brown(+) and Brown and white(-)
wire those wires directly to the speakers instead of the wire that are going to them now.
