stereo wiring how to article?(color guide)

what do u hook the dimmer wire to?

im pretty sure u gotta splice it in to the headlight switch lead so it senses when the lights are on...but im not sure...

thanks....one other prob...i must have something wired wrong cause now my dash lights dont come on...the site doesnt mention the orange wires on the stock harness..help is apprecitaed

check the fuses, you probably blew one.

Lol.

I'd suggest taking it somewhere and letting someone professional do it before you fry your car, lol.

There are wire guides that come with cd players, and if not that url should do the trick. I've never heard of hooking up the dimmer to the headlights, did you do that and now the headlights don't work?

unless your hooking up a stock deck the dimmer wire shouldnt be connected to anything.
the dimmer wire was there to dim the lights on the stock deck with the lights in the gauges. most aftermaket decks do not have this feature.
so just tape up the end of the dimmer wire and leave it back there.
