Subs and box

I was wondering if it's worth keeping this box when I can't figure out what size port hole i need. It's a sealed dual sub box designed for 2 12" subs. The speakers are audiobahn 1500 watt RMS. Each sub containment are is designed at 1.5 cu.ft. Anybody want or have advice at the size port hole nessecary to make this box pound?

according to audiobahn... the box you have is already too small to port... adding ports to a box that is not big enough already will not help you out much and will damage the woofers... what you really need to do is get the right size ported box for the woofers... instead of trying to toss together a box that the woofer was not designed for...

adding ports to just any box will not always make it louder... and in most cases will greatly reduce the power a woofer can handle and how long it will have a useful life... building a box might not be rocket science but there are a lot of things that need to be taken into account befor you stuff a woofer into a box of any size...

the woofers you have will work in the sealed box you have... if it does not produce enough bassfor you... then get a custom box built or build one yourself that has the correct internal air space and port volumes that you need... or get a bigger amp that produces more rms power than the one you have now...

What would this box be good for then?
I have 2 1500 Watt mono block amps hooked up to each side. Is that not enough?

have a custom enclosure built for the subs... have it ported and you will do fine... make sure the enclosure is built to 3.0 cu ft per woofer and install 2 3 inch round ports 8.5 inches long per woofer... this is per audiobahn specs for every day bass...

if you are looking for ultra spl then what you want to do is build the box 4 cuft per woofer... with 2 ports 4 inches round 11.25 inches long...

what this will do is run the woofer in 3.55 cuft of air space and play low as he!!... this is a huge box and in most cases wont fit in a 240... but if that is what you are looking for that is what it will take...

here is the sight for the audiobahn specs...http://www.audiobahn.com/frame2004.htmlmatch up your woofer model number and check the specs...
