Question Tunes Or Wieght

i was jus wondering how many of you guys prefer no stereo over a big system. Personaly i prefer jus a nice deck and better speakers for the stock locations, no big 70lb boxes for me. Let me know what you guys prefer.

yea, i know some people have to have their beat or else they cant drive. Maybe if i had a more powerful motor (sr20det) i wouldn't have to woryy about the extra wieght. Yea that would be nice

I have to agree with you guys. All I have is a descent headunit and some nice stock size speakers. Can't really see myself doing more.

Weight-I have a head unit and getting better speakers on stock sizes, that's all. I put new speakers and a bazooka on my civic yesterday, wouldn't stand the extra weight on the 240..

Keep it modular...

Have a nice HU, good stock or custom locations speakers, and some BOOM in the trunk that can easily be removed for track time....

I'm doing what most of you said, better head unit, replacement speakers. Although I might get a little sub for just a little base, I have a 12 in my room that I'm debating on selling or putting in my car...I'll probly just stick with replacing stock and selling the sub

I opted for sound. Eclipse H.U.,Eclipse 50x4 amp,Boston coaxials up front and Pheonix Gold coaxials in rear, 12inch momo sub, and Hifonics zx7500 amp. With wires and all about 70-75lbs extra weight. I haven't noticed my car becoming ungodly slow so I guess it's ok.

ehh.. i wouldnt really care about the 'racing/drifting' scene down here in san diego.. not much people drift here and po-po's are hella crackin down on street racers.. imprisionment for watching and car impounded.. hella fines.. pshh.. thats the last thing i'd need.. more friggin fines to pay.. so i kinda moved out of the racing scene.. just wanting to make my car look purdy ya noe? makin them heads turn as i pass by..
