Way to make 6x9s fit in model 240sx

I'm looking towards installing 6x9s in my 1995 240sx, but the rear speakers area mounted on metal, I don't have any tools to cut the metal and make them fit. But I came cross these pics on the net:

THe pics show an s13 with 6x9s. But the owner installed the speakers on the rear of the car by the back seats. He intalled the speakers where the arm rests are, left and right. I think that'll work for everyone. I'll try to do it and see what happens.

it looks REALLY ghetto and cheap...if you do it make sure you make it looka little better and maybe try to get covers for the speakers so your passengers dont elbow them.

LOL! Yeah, they don't look straight. It would look better if they were centered correctly and he had added the grills. Maybe screwing them behing the panel instead of the front would make it look better, so that you don't see the whole front sticking out.

yea and it it just kinda impractical if you have people back there that wanna lean on that....they would kinda blovk the sound i think...i would just try another spot (granted i did JUST get mine so i dont know if there are any other spots.) i saw that one guy that put them on the hatch cover part in the back...they looked pretty good and stuff i guess you could do it with 6X9s too

I saw that pic of how he did it. but wouldn't the speakers projection be bad then? THey'll be facing up when you lean the back seat down, and they'll be facing away from you when you have people riding on the back... unless you add the speakers on the otherside, and have the back passengers getting blasted on the back

why get 6X9's? Get 6.5", smaller and round makes better bass that that oval 6X9, get a better overall sound.
