CA potential
could the few CA18DET owners fill me in on the full hp/tq potential of this engine? im thinking of using one for a locost car for auto-x and at this point lightweightedness "outweighs" high hp numbers.

There is a CA thats running 540hp at the hubs/wheels, it has has some extensive work done. One of my friends is running well over 700hp on a CA, sounds mad huh! Can be done though, if you have the money.
