Clutch engagement!>?

I haven't had my 240 for too long, but I've had several 5-speeds in the past, and driven LOTS more. The clutch engagemet feels REAL weird on my new 240. It has good grip but the engagement is just odd.

Its like there are 2 stages to the grip. I let out the clutch and I can feel it start to grab, but I have to let it out another 2-3 inches before it hits the engagement point. kinda like:

soft......soft......soft.......HARD

This can't be normal. Is there a way to adjust?

I know exactly what you mean. I'm not sure if its the clutch going bad or not..but I would guess that since its not a racing clutch the engagement is a 'long' process.

Install a ACT with no springs and see how fast it engages

I think that's how its designed. I read a review about it. Its supposed to be awsome for racing but weird for first time drivers.

I guess it would be harder for a first time driver. I've gotten used to it now, but I'm not sure how that would be Good for racing?? I mean you need quick engagement with predictable results.. My clutch can be Quite unpredictable..

BTW I've been driving a stick for about 7 years. should be long enough not to be called a beginner

Anyone know what the "little box" built into the clutch line is?
On my 510, its just the master and the slave, but on the 240 the master feeds into the little box, which feeds to the slave. Any ideas, read somewhere that someone had removed it, suggestions for brudging the lines?

Yeah i have the same problem, i dont like the clutch, it feels too mushy for some reason. Hopefully with my tax return i can buy an ACT clutch.
